Templeton Academy

Looking for an affordable quality school to call home for the 2020-2021 school year?

The Templeton Academy Schools based in D.C. and Nashville are accepting students for the coming school year. Keep reading to learn more about why Templeton Academy could be the perfect fit for your student, what the application deadlines are, and what to expect in terms of  tuition and fees.

Why Templeton Academy?

The Templeton model is the product of a vision of what education can be: a life-giving, formative experience that unlocks the passion and potential of each student. Templeton Academy is an experiential micro school serving students grades 9-12 at its Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. location and students grades 6-12 at its Nashville, TN campus. It offers an academically rigorous curriculum designed to foster intellectual curiosity through active learning and community exploration.

Our innovative, micro school model means that our application process looks a little different. Our goal is to figure out what makes you "you" and what motivates you to love learning, not simply make you take a standardized test or submit a coached essay.

Details on Our Application Process

There are four basic steps for applying to Templeton Academy:

  1. Learn about Templeton Academy. Read through our website for resources, blog articles, and information about our academic approach or attend one of our admissions events
  2. Submit the online application and any supplemental materials. This step includes submitting things like school transcripts, current report cards, any test results, including psych-ed testing, and any current IEP or 504 plan.
  3. Attend an admissions interview. The purpose of the interview is to get the fullest picture possible of the student and the prospective family.
  4. Registration packet and payment. After you have been accepted, we finalize all administrative details related to payment and registration.

We are currently accepting student applications for the 2020-2021 school year.

Tuition and Fees

We believe that high quality education should be available for everyone. With tuition of just $15,550 for the full academic year, Templeton Academy is one of the most accessible private high schools in the Washington, D.C. and Nashville areas. Rather than putting tuition toward building and maintaining expensive facilities and grounds, we use the city as our campus, focusing our budget on hiring the best full-time and part-time teachers.

However, we fully appreciate that tuition of just $15,550 is still unattainable to many families. Because of this, we offer flexible payment plan options and financial aid opportunities

Here's a quick look at our tuition and fees for NEW students. Full information on Tuition and Fees can be found here or by clicking on the image below.

The online application for the 2020-2021 school year is available here. Admissions decisions will be made by the Admissions Committee once all supplemental materials are received. Applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis if space is available.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions about our school, the upcoming academic year, and the application process.
